As part of NIFTEM'S innovative curriculam structure, Village Adoption Program is organised . It is a  unique programme conceptualized by the NIFTEM, which aims to integrate its course curriculum with practical application.

VAP enables its students, under the guidance of their mentors to familiarize themselves with the village structure and post harvest technology, from the grass root level. NIFTEM firmly believes that this programme not only benefits its students but also, encourages farmers to form food processing units. It aims to spread awareness at the basic levels about the food processing industry and its growing opportunities and benefits.Currently, NIFTEM covers around 30 Villages located across 16 states.

       OBJECTIVES :-

• Overall development of the village through promoting rural entrepreneurship in food sector.
• Integration of Village-State Administration Network.
• Creating long term associations by nursing the village for four years.
• Two way knowledge exchange between students and village people.
